Access Fund work in New Hampshire
- Initial contacts with a recreation worker on the White Mountain National Forest regarding upcoming Rumney Rocks (NH) Climbing Management Plan. (2007)
- Facilitated strategy-building conference call and provided resources to work with local climber regarding opening a local climbing area Hewes Hill in Swanzey, New Hampshire to the public. (2006)
- Facilitated strategy-building conference call, provided resources, and wrote letter of support to the White Mountain National Forest for the potential acquisition of a parcel of land know as Olverian Notch, which contains Owls Head Cliff, NH. We have been working closely with the Trust for Public Land on this acquisition. TPL is facilitating a transfer from private owners to the WMNF; the Access Fund’s support of this project helped the TPL gain momentum with other organizations. (2006)
- Hosted a regional access workshop in North Conway, NH that was attended by local activists. (2005)
- Worked with Rumney Climbers Association regarding revival of the organization (2005)
- Provided $13,500 in grants for trail and impact mitigation projects in four areas including Square Ledge, NH (2003)
- Provided $12,000 in grants for trail and impact mitigation projects in four areas including Cathedral Ledge, NH (2002)
